Also, I hope you enjoyed your visit to Kingston when you went. Next time when you're in the Hudson Valley region, visit the waterfront restaurants in Newburgh, New York. Great food and people -and it's an area where the steamboats once docked and traveled.

Again, thank you for viewing.rex-stewart.blogspot.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03133913483684475749noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5457875414469534632.post-29344267679806266912018-07-15T00:50:19.008-04:002018-07-15T00:50:19.008-04:00There was a restaurant in/near Kingston, called th...There was a restaurant in/near Kingston, called the Mary Powell, named after the steamboat. I didn’t know if perhaps it is still there. I ate there in 1989, I believe, give or take a year, and jested with the manager - do I eat for free since my name is Mary Powell? He said back, good heavens no, there are too many with that name, and we’d go broke! I often think about what a beautiful part of our country lies along the Hudson. Thank you for your blog. Unfortunately, I don't have any information on the Powell Family other than what has been written on this blog. However, as you know, the Anderson Family built a steamboat and named it THOMAS POWELL which I am currently researching for a future model.

If I can be of any other assistance, don't hestitate to call. my number is 1-774-757-7137.
